Context
Focused on celebrating the creative exchange between Dutch and Chinese colleges, this project explores the imperfections and unpredictability that make collaboration dynamic and enriching. By embracing differences, the project highlights how distinct perspectives foster unexpected creative outcomes.
Dutch Design College, an initiative by Michel de Boer, was chosen to lead this endeavor, emphasizing the fusion of diverse design approaches and visual languages. The exhibition embodies this clash deliberately – a representation of the exciting tensions that arise in cross-cultural collaboration.
Design
Centering on the concept of creative friction, the typography was selected to intentionally clash, symbolizing the contrasts and imperfections inherent in collaborative work. This design choice emphasizes the beauty in unpredictability, a key element that makes international partnerships both challenging and rewarding. Through this visual approach, the project invites viewers to appreciate the diverse and vibrant outcomes made possible through international creative exchange.
