About Work
UPO 2
I wish I was there

Context
UPO (Unidentified Paper Object) is a bilingual print publication (FR/EN) by Éditions Non Standard, showcasing emerging artists with distinctive and unconventional projects. Each edition pairs an artist’s work with specially commissioned texts, curated by Elodie Boyer, while Studio Rejane Dal Bello crafts a unique visual identity. With each issue, UPO becomes a dynamic and experimental space, where format remains consistent, but materials, printing techniques, and bindings shift, embracing unpredictability.

Design
For UPO II, Studio Rejane Dal Bello developed a design that resonated with the work of photographer Xenia Naselou. Her images capture the silent yet profound traces of the migration crisis on the island of Lesvos, offering a sensitive perspective without intrusion. The design echoes this quiet documentation, honoring the resilience of those affected. It’s a project we’re honored to be part of—one that blends art, storytelling, and human connection.
